BURLESON, Texas – (July 31, 2017) – Burleson Independent School District (BISD) announces Kalee McMullen as Principal of Kerr Middle School. McMullen was announced at the July 31 board meeting.
“We welcome Principal McMullen to Kerr Middle School,” said Bret Jimerson, Superintendent. “She is an accomplished instructional leader with success in developing and implementing programs to increase student achievement. She is a wonderful addition to our district.”
McMullen has served as an administrator at both the middle and high school levels, serving most recently as Academic Associate Principal at Summit High School in Mansfield ISD. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English and a masters in educational leadership and policy studies, both from the University of Texas at Arlington. In May 2018, McMullen will graduate with a doctorate in educational leadership from Liberty University.
“I am thrilled to have been chosen as principal at Kerr Middle School, and to be joining Burleson ISD,” said McMullen. “Burleson ISD is doing great things and it is an honor to join a leadership team that focuses on innovation and collaboration.”
Before coming to BISD, McMullen was the academic associate principal at Mansfield Summit High School. She was also an administrator at Mansfield High School and Carter Junior High in Arlington, an English teacher and softball coach.
